Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens Find Buyer for $1.2 Million Texas Home Just Days After Listing It

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens have listed and sold the Texas home where they lived while overseeing construction of their custom mansion, offering a glimpse into a period of transition for one of America’s highest-profile sports couples.

Moving On

The four-bedroom home in Spring, Texas, is on the market for $1.2 million, according to the listing reported by Realtor.com. Property records identify Biles and her mother, Nellie Biles, among those associated with the deed.

The sale comes several months after Biles and Owens moved into the sprawling residence they spent years building outside Houston. The couple began construction on the home in 2022 and documented portions of the process on social media as work progressed.

While that project was underway, they used the Spring property as a primary residence.

Built in 2019, the roughly 4,000-square-foot home sits on more than an acre in the Benders Landing community north of Houston. The property includes four bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms and a three-car garage, according to the listing.

Marketing materials describe the contemporary-style home as designed for entertaining, with an open floor plan, expansive windows and indoor-outdoor living spaces. Features highlighted in the listing include a media room, private study, wine display wall and kitchen outfitted with quartz countertops, custom cabinetry and a large center island.

The property’s primary suite includes dual walk-in closets and a spa-style bathroom. Outside, the home sits on a wooded lot with no rear neighbors.

The listing coincides with another period of change for the couple following Owens’ return to the Indianapolis Colts on a one-year contract signed earlier this year.

In an interview with People magazine, Biles said she planned to spend more time in Indianapolis to support her husband during the NFL season, though Texas would remain the couple’s long-term home base.

“I’ve been in Houston most of the time, so I’m going to officially move there a little bit later,” she told the publication, referring to Indianapolis.

The move reflects a balancing act that has become familiar to the pair during Owens’ NFL career. Last year, while Owens played for the Chicago Bears, Biles frequently traveled between Illinois and Texas as construction continued on their Houston-area mansion.

Although construction on the custom residence was completed late last year, the couple did not move in until February after wrapping up their time in Chicago.

Since then, Biles has shared images and videos from inside the home, including details of a bedroom she said was designed to evoke the atmosphere of a luxury hotel. She has also showcased more personal spaces, including an office displaying memorabilia from her decorated gymnastics career.

Among the items visible in social media posts are magazine covers and keepsakes tied to her Olympic achievements and post-Olympic ventures.

The move into the new residence followed a difficult episode earlier this year when Biles disclosed that she had experienced what she described as a serious medical emergency while alone at the Texas property.

In social media posts at the time, Biles said the incident was among the most frightening experiences of her life. Owens was in Indianapolis attending team activities when the emergency occurred.

She later told followers that a subsequent vacation had been part of her recovery process after the health scare, responding to criticism from some social media users who questioned her decision to travel.

Biles, widely regarded as one of the most accomplished gymnasts in history, has remained based in the Houston area throughout much of her athletic career. Owens, who previously played for Houston, Green Bay and Chicago before returning to Indianapolis, has spent recent seasons moving between cities as roster changes reshaped his NFL journey.

The sale of the Spring property closes a chapter that bridged those careers and the years-long construction of the home the couple now occupies. With their custom residence completed and Owens beginning a new season in Indianapolis, the sale signals the end of what had served as a temporary stop during one of the most closely watched homebuilding projects in sports.
