Hip-hop artist Jadakiss is no stranger to entrepreneurship. As the co-owner of D-Block Records and Juices for Life, he is well-versed in the music and beverage industry. And now, he is further expanding his empire with the help of his father and son by launching Kiss Café, a coffee brand.
“This coffee is for all coffee lovers,” Jadakiss told Vibe.“No specific age or background, or knowledge. Coffee is a universal and personal thing. Everyone enjoys it differently. And we’re here to help them do that.”
Launched with his father, Bob Phillips and son, Jaewon Phillips, the company recently introduced its first product, the Beijo roast, a medium-dark Arabica blend sourced from South America and Central America. Beijo is prepackaged and offered either in whole bean or ground. The coffee can be purchased on the company’s e-commerce website with prices starting at $14.99. In the upcoming months, Kiss Café will expand its reach through retail partnerships and pop-up shops.
“This is one of my proudest professional and personal achievements,” Bob Phillips told Vibe. “There is no greater honor than taking what you’ve learned in this life and inspiring your family to join you and bring that pursuit to the next level.”
“Kiss Café is authentic,” Jaewon said. “It’s real. No gimmicks. It’s been in our family for over 40 years, and everything we do here is from the core.”
Expansion of Jadakiss’ Empire
