Masika Kalysha of ‘Love & Hip Hop’ Sues Co-Star Hazel-E, Zeus Network for $6 Million Over 2020 Attack

There always seems to be some sort of brawl on reality shows. But one that happened on the franchise reality series “Love & Hip Hop” in 2020 between Masika Kalysha and Hazel-E has resulted in a lawsuit.

Kalysha, who appears with Hazel-E on the Hollywood edition of the show, is suing co-star Hazel-E and Zeus Network for a whopping $6 million. Hazel-E boasts a net worth of an estimated $1 million.

Kalysha, an actress and singer/songwriter, has been on the show since 2013. She has a net worth of an estimated $400,000. Hazel-E, a publicist and rapper, joined the show in 2014.

Zeus is a subscription-based video streaming service launched on July 13, 2018. Founded by social media personalities DeStorm Power, Amanda Cerny, King Bach, and television producer Lemuel Plummer, Zeus is a Black-owned full-service production company. Zeus has been the production company behind such reality shows as “Love & Hip Hop.”

Kalysha and Hazel-E have butted heads on the show and in August 2020, the two were scheduled to have a sit-down on the show “The Conversation,” to hash out rumors Haze-E allegedly spread about Kalysha. In late 2020, in an interview with the Cheat Sheet, Hazel-E said she intended to have a calm chat with Kalysha even though the two had been feuding for years. It all seems to stem from their former relationships with music producer Hitmaka.

After the chat, the two were still at odds, and according to Kalysha, Hazel and a cosmetologist came into her dressing room and attacked her. Her suit claims she suffered scratches, bruises, and a broken finger.

When the security team hired by Zeus broke up the fight, Kalysha alleges one guard groped her groin and butt while remarking, “She’s thick as ****.” In addition to fraud, Kalysha is suing for sexual battery and damages.

She also claims that the network aired the incident over her objections. Kalysha’s then-attorney had demanded Zeus not air or edit any footage of the assault. Kalysha reportedly seeks to have all the footage of the fight to be taken down.

The court docs were filed by Kalysha herself without an attorney.
