Drake Raffles Off at Least $150,000 In Cash and Prizes at His Celebrity Birthday Bash

Hip-hop mogul Drake has just celebrated his 36th rotation around the sun, hosting a party for his celebrity friends and chosen family. However, instead of receiving gifts, the chart topper gave presents to the partygoers, leaving people to wonder if it was their birthday.

On Monday, Oct. 24, the “Tie That Binds” rapper, wearing a white suit, a paisley shirt, gold chain and two cornrows, took over Miami’s Sexy Fish nightclub to host the festivities. For the night, the club changed its name to Sexy Gyal.

Celebrities, Raffles and Quilted Chanel Bags

As host, Drizzy did more than just make sure people had a good time, but gave away a slew of luxury gifts, befitting for someone named Champagne Papi (Drake), to bless his special guests that included the likes of Lil Baby, 21 Savage, DJ Khaled and Chaney Jones, according to TMZ.

The caveat? Everyone who received one of these big-ticket items had to participate in a surprise raffle.

Some of the prizes received from raffle participants included four $5,000 gift cards to Saks Fifth Avenue, 10 cash prizes of $10,000 each, a Rolex watch and a Chanel handbag (that Drake promised was not a starter piece). Drake was seen in the TMZ video reading off the winning raffle ticket numbers.

Genevieve Shawcross from Love Island, a guest at the party, posted her prize on her Instagram Stories. She shared with her fans her white quilted Chanel purse that she won, E Online reports.

One guest, Emily Salch, also a star on the popular Peacock/CBS dating show “Love Island,” posted on her IG stories clips of the “Drake bucks” he gave out. The artist, who holds at least eight Guinness World Records for his music, was featured on the fake $500 notes all dapper in an open white shirt with a bandana.

Drake’s Favorite Dancehall Performers

Jamaican artist Skillibeng performed at the jam his hits, including the song “Crocodile Teeth,” and Jamaican Soundsystem Stone Love kept the music going all night. Drake said Stone Love created “one of the most important mixes and moments” in his life.

He said, “It changed my life, I listen to it every day of my life.  I listen to it to calm me down; I listen to it to reflect.  Stone Love.  The legendary sound.  Big up.”

Other Outrageous Drake Birthday Bashes

The rapper-turned-businessman, who has an estimated net worth of $250 million, can afford to do whatever he wants for his birthday. Last year, in addition to having a birthday party, he also threw himself a battle rap event with the Ultimate Rap League, the #1 English-speaking competitive rap platform in the world.

Drake, a longtime fan of the culture, booked his favorite talents to perform including Tsu Surf, Loaded Lux, T-Rex, Geechi Gotti, Tay Roc, Jaz the Rapper and the late Pat Stay. Fellow Canadian rapper Pat Stay was fatally stabbed earlier this fall in a nightclub in Halifax.

Drizzy was one of a host of other artists who took time to pay tribute to the fallen artist, saying, “RIP to the Sucka Free Boss @patstay_902 one of my fav rappers ever.”

Adonis Gave Wishes

However, Monday was about celebrating life.

His son sent him a video that the artist in turn posted on his social media, with him singing “Happy Birthday.” The sweetest bonus was the young protégé’ remix to the classic song. Instead of asking how old his father will be, he simply sang, “You’re in my heart,” in perfect key.
