Cher appears to be over the moon in her relationship with music executive Alexander “AE” Edwards but friends and family are reportedly more than weary of the whirlwind romance and fear she might be squandering her wealth.
“Cher’s letting her boyfriend pull all the strings,” a source told Radar Online. “It’s all about what A.E. and what he wants. She’s been sucked into his lifestyle of parties, late nights, and drinking, and she’s neglecting her friends — mainly because they’re horrified over her behavior.”
The 76-year-old singer, actress, and television personality is the only artist to win an Academy Award, Grammy, Emmy, Golden Globe, and the Best Actress nod at Cannes Film Festival. In addition, Cher is the only musical artist to have a song reach the No. 1 spot on the Billboard charts every decade in the last 60 years.
Cher started her career in entertainment with her husband Sonny Bono as the iconic singing duo Sonny & Cher. They were married from 1964 to 1975. She was later married rocker Gregg Allman (of the Allman Brothers Band) from 1975 to 1979.

Inside Their May-December Romance
The couple went public with their relationship in November 2022 when they were seen holding hands together outside of a West Hollywood restaurant.
By December, engagement rumors were swirling when Cher posted a photo on Twitter of Edwards holding a ring and wrote, “THERE R NO WORDS, ALEXANDER, A.E.” A source confirmed that the pair were not engaged and that the ring was a symbol of their love.
Since then, the couple has been seen in public and are collaborating on music together.
In March, Cher told E!News, “I’m going to England to make two albums. Some of the songs Alexander gave me, so I’m pretty excited about that. He’s a producer and a writer and he does everything, so I’m happy about that.”

Mansion for Sale
The Italian Renaissance-style mansion had been on the market before. Initially, she had placed it on the market in October 2022, for $85 million, according to The Wall Street Journal. After failing to attract a buyer, Cher took it off the market. She has now placed it up for sale for $10 million less.
Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the 13,126 sq. ft. home features seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom and sits on 1.73 acres of land. The property has a tennis court, an infinity pool, and a driveway lined with 40 palm trees.
The living room featuring a large Moroccan chandelier and the primary bathroom designed like a hammam with Turkish wood screens, according to WSJ.
According to Architectural Digest, Cher wanted the home to be her own “version of Venetian” after being inspired by visits to Venice and the Casa Casuarina mansion, owned by her late friend designer Gianni Versace in Miami’s South Beach.
“Every day when I wake up and look out my bedroom window, I’m never not amazed,” the actress told Architectural Digest in 2002. “Every room has two views of the ocean, each of which is so beautiful — the water is always glistening, the sunset always happening. My house is so special because it’s my sanctuary, my fortress, really — the only place I have any privacy. There’s no place else that I would rather be.”
Cher took five years to build the mansion, People reported. Some of the materials used to build the exotic home are limestone and marble imported from Italy and France, hand-wrought bronze on the doors, and tiles from Spain and Morocco.
