There is speculation that Van Hunt and Halle Berry are on the verge of getting married.
Social media users began guessing that a wedding could be afoot after seeing a romantic picture of the two she uploaded to her Instagram page on Nov. 19.
She captioned the post, “you are everything I was made to believe was asking too much! @vanhunt.” In the comments, he responded, “idek what to say. gonna find u and kiss u.”
Compared to Berry, who boasts a $100 million net worth, Van Hunt, a Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer, has an estimated net worth between $1 million and $2 million as of 2023. They have been dating since 2020.
Despite the financial imbalance, their chemistry seems more stable than some of Berry’s previous relationships, say observers.
Halle’s Past Beaus
As Finurah previously reported, five years before Berry’s split from Gabriel Aubry in 2010, the former couple had a daughter named Nahla, now 15.
In 2014, the Hollywood star was ordered to pay Aubry $16,000 in child support, sparking a decade of legal battles. In May, she successfully had the amount capped at $110,000 a year.
Previously, Berry was married to ex-Atlanta Braves star David Justice, with a net worth of $40 million, from 1993 to 1997. She then married singer Eric Benet, whose net worth was $8 million, from 2001 to 2005. Her third marriage was to French actor Olivier Martinez, with a net worth of $30 million, lasting from 2013 to 2016. They share a son named Maceo, 9.
In 2016, a court issued Berry and Martinez an ultimatum after they did nothing other than file for divorce. The Notice of Case Review Regarding Default was filed by the Los Angeles County Court and gave them three choices: move forward with their divorce, file a dismissal, or allow the court to dismiss the case by default.
Berry and Martinez managed to finally come to a custody agreement after years of arguing, yet their property split remained unresolved.
In April 2023, as Finurah reported, despite Berry’s prenup with Martinez, the two needed a mediator to resolve their eight-year divorce process.
The couple’s prenuptial agreement covered the division of assets, and Berry petitioned for custody of their son. However, neither party specified what issues needed to be settled in their divorce.
Like Aubry, Martinez gets $8,000 a month in child support as he and the actress share joint custody of their son.
Berry must also pay Martinez 4.3 percent of any income exceeding $2 million, according to the dissolution document filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court as of August 2023, as reported by the Los Angeles Times.
