When NFL quarterback Russell Wilson and his wife, entertainer Ciara, purchased their home in the Denver suburb of Cherry Hills Village just two years ago, it was the highest-recorded sale in the town’s history. Now, the couple is selling the home as rumors swirl that Wilson’s time with the Denver Broncos is ending.
Leaving Colorado for Good?
Various news sources have revealed that Wilson and Ciara are hosting tours of their home to prospective buyers and open to sellers. The couple moved to Denver after Wilson was traded from the Seattle Seahawks to the Denver Broncos in 2022 with a five-year contract worth more than $240 million. Yet Wilson’s tenure on the team has been rocky as he has butted heads with the team’s coach, Sean Payton.
The couple is worth a reported $185 million. If Wilson is cut from the Broncos, he’ll still be paid $39 million for the 2024 season, according to Spotrac.com. There are also some other options available to Wilson provided Broncos officials decide before their March 17 deadline. Not to mention, the couple’s joint business ventures such as being part of the ownership group of Major League Soccer’s Seattle Sounders FC and members of the investment group, Portland Diamond Project which hopes to bring a Major League Baseball franchise to Portland. Their production company, Why Not You Productions has an affiliation with Amazon Studios to produce content. In the past, they’ve featured “God. Family. Football” on Amazon’s platform.
Nevertheless, it seems Wilson and Ciara are preparing to leave Colorado and are busy packing up their Denver home. Here’s a look at the mansion on Cherry Hills Park Drive.
Inside Denver’s Most Expensive Home
Wilson and Ciara purchased their Denver home in 2022 for $25 million in 2022.
Sitting on five acres of land, the residence is 20,000 square feet. On the first floor, there’s a kitchen featuring high-end appliances, a large dining room, a library, and a living room.
To lead the Wilson family to the second floor is a circular staircase. Upstairs there are four bedrooms as well as a separate guest apartment complete with a kitchen.
Throughout the home are six fireplaces and 12 bathrooms. On the lower level, there is an indoor basketball court, gym, theater, and swimming pool.
Outside, there is a garden complete with a fire pit and pond.
Real Estate Portfolio
While Wilson and Ciara are ready to offload their Denver property, they still own several other properties.
The couple’s San Diego home is considered their “home away from home.” Wilson hosts football practices during the offseason to other players in the offseason.
Properties in Los Angeles and Mexico are used for personal and business travel stays.
