Will Smith’s world appears to be in freefall — at least, according to supposed unnamed sources speaking to RadarOnline.
Insiders suggest the actor and rapper may be on the brink of losing both money and property, fallout that’s been steadily mounting since the now-infamous Oscars slap in 2022.

What’s True?
Rumors of an impending divorce from wife and longtime business partner Jada Pinkett Smith continue to swirl, while his film career remains haunted by that public misstep. Once a bankable A-list powerhouse, Smith now seems to be grappling with a tarnished image—and a shrinking fortune.
Though still worth an estimated $400 million and recognized as a global household name, But the RadarOnline source insinuated that Smith isn’t as bankable as he once was.
His box office receipts say other. Will Smith’s highest-grossing film is 2019’s “Aladdin,” which grossed over $1.05 billion worldwide. Following “Aladdin,” his next highest-grossing films include “Independence Day” (1996) with $817 million and “Suicide Squad “(2016) with $747 million. And the “Bad Boys” franchise is among Smith’s top-grossing; the entire franchise past the $1 billion mark worldwide according to Deadline. “Bad Boys for Life” (2020) was the highest-grossing film in the franchise earning $426.5 million worldwide. Last year’s “Ride or Die” made $404.5 million worldwide.
Still, the RadarOnline claims his household expenses are draining him.
“They’re spending an absolute fortune maintaining the rest of their properties, and somewhere down the road it’s all going to fall to pieces,” an insider told Radar. “As rich as Will is, it’s getting harder to keep up with the enormous bills – especially with them not living together.” There has been no confirmation of these claims.
Radar Online reports that the star is living in a $45 million, 150-acre ranch in Calabasas which is just down the street from where his wife has been staying. She has opening discussed that the couple had lived under separate roofs, not long ago she had noted they were once again under one — although these new rumors suggest otherwise. She also claims to have purchased her own property for her 50th birthday, although RadarOnline suggests that Will bought both estates.
Some of their California homes are listed for sale, including their Woodland Hills house on the market for $2 million, which they purchased for $910,000 in 2010.
The Smiths already sold a home in Owings Mills, Maryland, a suburb of Jada’s hometown in Baltimore that was listed for $795,000 in January 2024, but was eventually sold for $817,000 in February of that year.
Smith’s career took a major hit after the Oscars slap, earning him a 10-year ban from Academy events. He’s publicly apologized to Chris Rock several times since, but in a recent freestyle, he seemed to walk back that apology.
Smith also attempted a musical comeback with his first solo album in nearly 20 years, “Based on a True Story,” released in March.
Despite features from Big Sean, Joyner Lucas, and DJ Jazzy Jeff, the project flopped commercially, only getting 700 paid downloads, according to Showbiz 411.
It was panned by critics as corny and cringe-inducing, according to review sites like Pitchfork.
Comedian and Chris’ brother Tony Rock even called it a “sh—y album,” according to TMZ.
Smith followed it up with the single “Pretty Girls,” which was slammed online and failed to connect with audiences the way Drake’s viral hit “Nokia” did.
“Ever since Slapgate, it’s been a stream of money pouring out and very little coming in,” the insider told Radar.
