Ken Griffey Jr. has listed his sprawling Florida mansion for $27 million.

Located about 20 miles southwest of Orlando, the massive estate sits on roughly 11.5 acres and reflects the baseball legend’s long-standing investment in high-end living, according to Mansion Global.
Moving Time
Griffey and his wife, Melissa, originally purchased the property in 2004 for $2.575 million during his time with the Cincinnati Reds. The couple later completed construction on the custom-built residence in 2008, transforming the land into a private, resort-style retreat.
The Mediterranean-style mansion spans more than 22,000 square feet across three levels and is tucked behind a gated entrance for added privacy. Architectural details include Moorish-inspired design elements, blending classic European elegance with modern luxury across the expansive home.
With its size, location, and pedigree, the estate stands as one of Central Florida’s most notable celebrity listings currently on the market.
Waterfront access stands out on the estate with 440 feet of frontage on Cypress Lake plus entry to the Butler Chain of Lakes through a private community boat ramp.
A private boat dock adds to the aquatic appeal.
Inside the mansion offers seven bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, including eight full baths and two powder rooms.
A dramatic double-height 28-foot travertine foyer greets visitors with sweeping staircases and custom ironwork.
A formal dining room sits near a chef’s kitchen stocked with professional-grade appliances, according to Mansion Global.
The primary suite comes equipped with a fireplace dual vanities whirlpool tub and luxury finishes.
A separate two-bedroom guest wing provides its own entrance and living space according to Mansion Global. Luxury extras fill the home including a home theater and media lounge.
A golf simulator gym and wine room deliver entertainment options.
Additional touches feature a salon smart-home automation system and an elevator. The 10-car garage with two lifts handles serious vehicle storage, Mansion Global reported.
Outside a 125,000-gallon grotto-style pool includes a slide waterfalls diving board and grotto features. A basketball court provides athletic space.
Terraces overlook the grounds with palm and cypress tree landscaping.
According to listing agent Lin Lu, the listing reflects Windermere’s luxury market growth noting that homes above $1 million now make up more than half of sales compared with fewer than 20 percent when the home was built.
Griffey earned induction into the Hall of Fame in 2016 with a then-record 99.32 percent of the vote.
His career totals include 630 home runs, 13 All-Star appearances, 10 Gold Gloves, the 1997 AL MVP award and status as the first No. 1 MLB draft pick to reach the Hall of Fame.
Griffey played most of his career with the Seattle Mariners and Reds plus a brief Chicago White Sox stop before retiring in 2010. In retirement, he pursued work as a sports photographer and photojournalist, capturing The Masters MLB NFL MLS and IndyCar events. He also invested in Seattle sports franchises and took on a senior adviser role to MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred.
