Karl-Anthony Towns has officially sold his massive Minnesota mansion for approximately $4.75 million as of January, more than a year after being traded from the Minnesota Timberwolves to the Knicks on Oct. 2, 2024.

New York or L.A.?

Towns and New York are heading back to Madison Square Garden on June 8 with a 2-0 lead in the 2026 NBA Finals, putting the All-Star center close to delivering a championship to a city desperate for basketball glory.

According to reports, Towns’ former estate in Medina, Minnesota, spans roughly 17,000 square feet and sits on more than five acres near Mooney Lake. The luxury property was one of the most lavish athlete-owned homes in the Twin Cities area.

Towns purchased the mansion in 2018 for just over $4.5 million after signing a lucrative contract extension with the Timberwolves. The estate featured an indoor basketball court, a massive entertainment area, a resort-style indoor pool with a waterslide, hot tub, infrared sauna, movie screen, game rooms, and extensive outdoor recreation space.

After his blockbuster trade to New York in late 2024, he chose to relocate.

The mansion also made headlines after it was reportedly targeted in a burglary linked to a crime ring that focused on professional athletes between September and December 2024. Jewelry and watches were reportedly stolen from the property.

While Towns has moved on from Minnesota, he hasn’t exactly downsized.

The Knicks star and his fiancée, model and entrepreneur Jordyn Woods, own a reported $14 million mega-mansion in Hidden Hills, California, near her longtime friend Kylie Jenner. The sprawling estate, bought in May 2024, includes more than 11,000 square feet of living space, a guest house, sports pavilion, tennis court, pool, theater, nightclub, batting cage, and room for horses.

During the NBA season, Towns reportedly rents a luxury apartment in New York close to Madison Square Garden, allowing him to stay near the Knicks while maintaining privacy.
