Tamera Mowry and Husband Put $2.7M Home on the Market Months After MAGA Backlash

Tamera Mowry is listing her longtime Northern California home in Fairfield for $2.7 million as she and husband Adam Housley continue building what they call their dream family retreat in Napa Valley.

The “Sister, Sister” star and her husband, a former Fox News correspondent, purchased a neglected Napa Valley property for $3.8 million in October 2024 and have spent the past year transforming it into a custom family home. Their renovation journey was documented on YouTube in the series “The Housley Farm: Building Our Dream Home.”

Now, the couple is saying goodbye to the Fairfield home they’ve owned since 2011. They bought the 4,863-square-foot property for $1.4 million and have listed it for nearly double that price after years of upgrades. Built in 2005, the home sits on more than a half-acre and features five bedrooms, four bathrooms, a chef’s kitchen, resort-style saltwater pool and sweeping hillside views.

The sale comes just months after Mowry-Housley revealed that the family’s future lies in wine country. Although she admitted she’s “a city girl,” the actress said she and Housley have dreamed for years about raising their children on a property where they can embrace a slower, more sustainable lifestyle with vineyards, orchards and farm animals.

When the couple bought the Napa property, the home had reportedly been vacant since 2018 and required a complete overhaul. Housley joked that it looked like “someone took the ‘Golden Girls’ house, combined it with Pablo Escobar’s house and set it on a hilltop in Napa.” Despite its condition, the pair said the 16-acre property, complete with a natural pond and income-producing cabernet sauvignon vines, convinced them it was the perfect place to build their forever home.

The move also follows a difficult spring for Mowry-Housley. In April, she briefly deleted her Threads account after facing online criticism from users who questioned her political views because of comments previously made by her husband. She later returned to the platform, where many fans praised her for refusing to let the backlash define her.

Mowry has faced repeated online speculation about her political views, largely because of her husband. Critics have linked the actress to the MAGA movement based on Housley’s conservative commentary, including social media posts about the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), even though Mowry herself has rarely discussed partisan politics publicly. Some online critics even dubbed her “Ta’MAGA.”

Housley has previously stated on X that neither he nor Mowry supported Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton during previous presidential elections.
