The Kansas City Chiefs tight end bought the 21,000-square-foot property in March, about four months before he and Swift were married July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, according to The Wall Street Journal and property records cited by the publication.

The purchase gives Kelce and Swift access to a luxury home in Bratenahl, Ohio, a community near Cleveland Heights, where Kelce grew up.

The 2.5-acre property sits along one of the Great Lakes and features eight bedrooms and 11 bathrooms. The home also includes a theater, game room, heated pool, temperature-controlled wine cellar and tasting room, poker area, fitness center and billiards room.

The mansion underwent an extensive renovation before Kelce purchased it, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The property’s previous owner, Gary Pellegrino, purchased the residence for $1.95 million in 2023. After the renovation, the home was listed for $6.99 million in 2024. Its asking price was later reduced to $5.99 million before Kelce purchased it for $5.35 million.

That final price was $640,000 below the property’s most recent asking price.

The purchase also marks a significant increase in value from what Pellegrino paid for the residence three years earlier.

Kelce’s new home is located close to the area where he spent his childhood. He grew up in Cleveland Heights before embarking on a football career that eventually led him to the NFL and the Kansas City Chiefs.

David Ayers and Nick Zawitz of The Agency Cleveland, who helped facilitate the purchase, expressed excitement about the transaction and its connection to the Cleveland area.

“We’re thrilled for the new owners and so excited for Cleveland,” they said in a statement released through the team and shared by The Wall Street Journal.

The mansion purchase came as Kelce and Swift’s relationship continued to attract widespread attention.

The couple became engaged in August and married July 3 at Madison Square Garden. They have largely remained out of the spotlight during the first weeks and months of their marriage.

That relative privacy could become more difficult to maintain as the NFL season gets underway.

Kelce is returning to the Chiefs as the team’s season begins, putting him back in the center of weekly sports coverage. Swift has also frequently drawn attention when attending Chiefs games, making the couple’s appearances together a focus for fans and media.

The two were also photographed together during the 2026 NBA playoffs, including Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals.

With Kelce’s football season beginning, the couple is likely to face renewed attention after keeping a lower profile following their wedding.

For now, their new Ohio property provides a substantial private residence near Kelce’s hometown. With 21,000 square feet, 2.5 acres and a long list of amenities, the $5.35 million mansion is considerably more than a typical home.

Kelce’s purchase also came months before the couple’s wedding, making it one of the major financial decisions he made during the period leading up to their marriage.

The lakefront property now becomes another part of the couple’s life together as Kelce returns to the football field and Swift continues her career.
