Over the summer, recording artist Usher Raymond quietly said “yeah” to a residence in the Hollywood Hills to the tune of $3.4 million.
Usher purchased the home from London natives Cara and Poppy Delevigne. The sisters, who are models and actresses, purchased the home in 2017, for a little more than $2 million from actor and musician Jared Leto.
Known simply as Usher, the R&B crooner, songwriter and producer has a net worth of $180 million. He has sold over 75 million records and is one of the best-selling recording artists in history. In addition, Usher is the owner of the Raymond-Braun Media Group, a record label he owns with talent manager Scooter Braun.
Usher has been inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame, the Black Music and Entertainment Walk of Fame and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Usher is the recipient of eight Grammy Awards, 34 ASCAP Awards, 18 Billboard Music Awards, nine Soul Train Music Awards and eight American Music Awards
Inside Usher’s New Property
The residence sits on a quarter acre of land. The white stucco home is protected on a street-to-street parcel by walls and gates.
Inside, the 4,000-square-foot home features four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Before the sale, the two-level home was renovated to meet the tastes of the Delevigne sisters and was featured in Architectural Digest in 2019.
A formal living room includes a floor-to-ceiling brick fireplace and walled windows.
The dining room includes a rattan monkey chandelier, while the all-white kitchen features a marble-topped center island and stainless steel appliances.
An en-suite guest bedroom includes sliding glass doors that open to a wraparound balcony.
The lower level of the house includes a master bedroom and an additional room.
A wet bar lounge and game room are connected to the exterior, including grounds with palm trees, a tile-lined pool, spa, dining deck, built-in barbecue and fire pit. There’s also a two-car garage.
A Look Into Usher’s Home-Selling Frenzy
In late 2018, Usher began selling off properties in his real estate portfolio. The first home, a Spanish villa above the Sunset Strip, was sold for $3.3 million. Later that year, Usher sold a seven-bedroom mansion in Alpharetta, Georgia, for $1.5 million. In 2019, he sold another residence for $775,000, just a short drive to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
