NBA Star Ben Simmons Puts Hidden Hills Estate Up For Auction After Sitting On Market For Two Years, Bids Start at $7 Million

A Hidden Hills home owned by NBA point guard Ben Simmons is up for auction after being on the market for two years.

“This is a beautiful home that I’ve enjoyed, but because I spend most of my time on the East Coast, sadly, it often goes unused,” Simmons shared in a press release. “It’s time to move on.”

Simmons currently plays for the Brooklyn Nets. He purchased the home in 2021. He put the home on the market just one year later for $23 million when he was traded from the Philadelphia 76ers.

Simmons, who has earned an estimated $163 million during his basketball career, moved to the United States from Australia in 2013 while he was still a high school student. Simmons began gaining notoriety as an athlete being named Mr. Basketball USA, a McDonald’s All-American and Gatorade Player of the Year.

Attending Louisiana State University, Simmons was named SEC Freshman of the Year, and USBWA National Freshman of the Year. Simmons was the No. 1 draft pick by the Philadelphia 76ers in 2016. In 2018, Simmons was named NBA Rookie of the Year and NBA All-Rookie First Team. In 2019, he was named an NBA All-Star.
