Two years after actor and entrepreneur Mark Wahlberg sold his sprawling Beverly Hills estate for $55 million, its current owners have returned it to the market for $68 million.
Wahlberg purchased the 6.2 acres of land in 2009 for $8.25 million. Using architect Richard Landry, Walhberg built a 30,500-square-foot mansion. The French-inspired estate took five years to complete. In 2022, Wahlberg listed the property for $87.5 million. The following year, the estate sold for $55 million–a far cry from his original asking price but still the most expensive home sale in Southern California in 2023.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Wahlberg relocated his family to Nevada in 2024 and spent $15.6 million on a plot in a luxury community.
Wahlberg, who has an estimated net worth of $400 million, is currently the co-executive producer with Snoop Dogg of “Four Down,” a documentary based on the 2010 nonfiction book “Not Without Hope.” The film tells the story of Nick Schuyler’s rescue in the Gulf of Mexico. It will premiere on April 24 at the Sunscreen Film Festival in Clearwater, Florida.
Wahlhberg rose to fame in the 1990s as the younger brother of Donnie Wahlberg of “New Kids on the Block.” Following his run as head of the rap group Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch, Wahlberg became the face of Calvin Klein underwear before heading to Hollywood. To date, he has starred in movies including “Patriot’s Day,” “Boogie Nights,” “The Departed,” and “Ted.” Wahlberg has earned a BAFTA, three SAG Awards, and three Golden Globe Awards for his work as an actor.
Let’s look at Wahlberg’s former estate, which is back on the market.
Inside A Sprawling Estate
Designed by Landry, who has served as an architect for celebrities and other wealthy clients desiring mega-mansions, Wahlberg’s former estate combines a European design aesthetic along with several amenities. The three-story mansion features 12 bedrooms and 20 bathrooms.
On the first floor, a grand entryway is flanked by dual staircases. Spaces for relaxation —such as a formal living room, dining room, a two-story library, movie theater, gym and wine cellar — are present throughout the home. There’s also a chef’s kitchen and staff quarters.
Outside is a swimming pool, skate park, driving range, and five-hole golf course. Wahlberg, a die-hard Boston Celtics fan, had a themed basketball court in the team’s honor.
