The wedding between Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez is still dominating entertainment media. More Wedding Rumors

The Amazon founder and his fiancée have reportedly rented the entire island of San Giorgio Maggiore for six days, June 24 to June 29 — although earlier reports said the event would last three days. The island, which is known for its historic Basilica and stunning waterfront views, will apparently be completely off-limits to the public during the festivities.

Bezos’ infamous $500 million superyacht, Koru, will be anchored just off the island, according to The Daily Mail. Sources say Venice’s famous water taxis and gondolas have also been reserved to support the event.

The multi-day celebration doesn’t stop there. Bezos has also secured the Scuola Grande della Misericordia, one of Venice’s grandest buildings, from June 26 to June 28, fueling speculation that the wedding will extend across multiple extravagant venues. Top hotels like The Aman Venice and Hotel Cipriani, with rooms starting around $2,000 to $2,700 per night, have been blocked off for guests, Page Six reports.

The lavish affair, expected to cost upwards of $20 million, will also feature treats from Venice’s famed bakery Rosa Salva Venetia, known for its decadent tiramisu and traditional fritelle pastries.

While some eagerly await the glitzy gathering, local activists are planning to disrupt the wedding, citing frustrations over Bezos’s immense wealth and business practices. Protesters have threatened to block canals and disrupt supply chains, potentially driving up prices for Venice residents during the celebration.

With celebrities, billionaires, and even reported Trump family members set to descend on Venice, the Bezos wedding is shaping up to be one of the most extravagant — and controversial — celebrations of the year.
