Lauren Sánchez Reacts to Georgina Rodríguez’s ‘Copycat’ Engagement Ring After Cristiano Ronaldo’s Proposal. But What She Said Has Everyone Talking

Many have been comparing Georgina Rodríguez’s huge new engagement ring to one Lauren Sánchez has. Now it seems Jeff Bezos’ new bride has something to say.

Ring Versus Ring

Earlier today, Rodríguez and longtime partner, soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, announced their engagement on Instagram. The model shared a photo of her hand resting on his, showing off a massive oval-shaped diamond, alongside the caption: “Yes I do. In this and in all my lives.”

Rodríguez’s engagement ring is estimated to be worth over $1 million, with some experts suggesting it could be worth even more, possibly being as large as 10-15 carats.

Sánchez, who recently tied the knot with Bezos in a lavish Venice celebration, was quick to leave her congratulations in the comments. “So happy for you,” she wrote, adding a red heart emoji.

While Sánchez’s message was congratulatory, Rodríguez ring immediately sparked conversation online. According to the Daily Mail, some have said it is a copycat and compared it to the pink-hued diamond Sánchez showed off in 2023 when Bezos proposed aboard his $500 million superyacht, Koru. That ring, valued between $3 million and $5 million, featured a rare pink stone with a rose tone.

Sánchez later upgraded her engagement ring for her June 2025 wedding week, changing it for another multimillion-dollar ring reportedly worth between $1.5 million and $5 million. The upgrade was unveiled during the couple’s multi-day celebration in Venice, which included yacht parties.

Ronaldo, 40, and Rodríguez, 31, have been together since 2017 after meeting at the Gucci store where she worked as a sales assistant.

Ronaldo is a father to five children. He has two with Rodríguez and three born via two separate surrogate mothers.

His eldest son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., was born on June 17, 2010, in the United States. His mother’s identity remains private due to an agreement. On June 8, 2017, Ronaldo welcomed twins, Eva and Matteo, also born in the U.S. through a surrogate whose identity has not been disclosed.

Rodríguez gave birth to their daughter, Alana Martina, on Nov. 12, 2017. In October 2021, the couple announced they were expecting twins. Tragically, when the babies were born on April 18, 2022, the couple revealed one, a baby boy, had passed away.

Rodríguez, who is also a social media influencer, has an estimated net worth around $10 million. This figure is largely attributed to her successful modeling career, her Netflix series “I Am Georgina,” and various endorsement deals. Ronaldo’s net worth is closer to $1 billion. Ronaldo is still actively playing; as of August 2025, he remains with Al Nassr FC in Saudi Arabia, having signed a two-year contract extension in June 2025, keeping him at the club until June 2027.
