Young Thug is shutting down reports that he purchased a $5 million South Florida mansion, despite property records linking the luxury estate to a company managed by the Grammy-winning rapper and his longtime business partner.

On July 29, Young Thug responded directly to reports circulating online that he had acquired a newly built mansion in Cooper City, Florida, reposting an article about the alleged purchase on X with a blunt response: “Cap lol I wish.”

Did He or Didn’t He?

His denial came after multiple real estate outlets reported that Broward County property records showed a July 8 transaction identifying the buyer as 3611 Trustee LLC, a Florida company reportedly managed by Young Thug and longtime manager and music executive Geoffrey Ogunlesi.

The property, located on two acres in Cooper City, reportedly sold for $5 million. No mortgage was recorded with the sale, leading to speculation that the transaction was completed entirely in cash.

The newly completed estate spans roughly 6,000 square feet and includes seven bedrooms, seven-and-a-half bathrooms, soaring ceilings, marble flooring, imported Italian wood doors, a chef’s kitchen outfitted with Sub-Zero appliances, a game room featuring a 200-inch LED screen, and a resort-style backyard with a pool, spa, guest cabana, and private equestrian grounds, Complex reported.

The mansion was originally listed for $8 million while under construction before returning to the market earlier this year for just under $6 million. It ultimately sold for $5 million.

It is unclear if the rapper, who is worth an estimated $10 million, was denying buying the property or buying for it in cash.

The Atlanta rapper was released from jail in late 2024 after accepting a negotiated plea agreement in the long-running, high-profile YSL racketeering case. YSL stands for Young Stoner Life Records, an Atlanta-based record label and music collective founded in 2016 by Young Thug.

After spending more than 900 days behind bars, he was sentenced to time served and placed on 15 years of probation.
