A massive Texas mansion custom-built by NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders finally has found a buyer, selling for $4.5 million after years on the market.
The nearly 30,000-square-foot estate sits on six acres in Prosper, Texas, just outside Dallas, and was originally built in the late 1990s when Sanders played for the Dallas Cowboys. The two-time Super Bowl champion and former Major League Baseball player owned the property until 2014.
Known as one of the largest homes in Texas, the lavish estate features nine bedrooms, grand double staircases, soaring glass walls, and luxury amenities.
It even has a 3,000-square-foot, two-story walk-in closet connected to the primary suite, which also includes its own private two-car garage. The mansion also features a basketball court, bowling alley, home theater, mirrored recreation room with football-field-style carpeting, and a massive 14-bay garage large enough to accommodate an RV or even a yacht.
The basketball court features Sanders’ motivational quote, “You Gotta Believe,” etched on the wall.
Outside, the property offers a resort-style pool, outdoor kitchen, private dock, and access to an eight-acre pond maintained by the homeowners association.
After Sanders sold the home and surrounding 112 acres to developers for $15 million in 2014, land surrounding the home was turned into the upscale Montclair subdivision.
According to listing agent Heather Stevens of The Agency Frisco, the new owner plans to restore the mansion and make it a private residence. The buyers were Ervin Singh and Pooja Sharma, who financed the purchase with a $3.92 million mortgage from Preston Investment Group LLC, according to The Dallas Morning News.
The mansion changed hands several times, but remained vacant for years. Sanders, according to Stevens, was the last person to reside there.
The home was most recently owned by a Frisco-based investment company that purchased it in 2022 with plans to renovate it. After listing the property for $5.5 million and later reducing the asking price to just under $5 million, the estate ultimately sold for $4.5 million.
The estate is located at 1400 Copper Point Drive in Prosper. Stevens also said the mansion was the largest residence in Texas when Sanders built it and remains among the five largest homes in the state.
Sanders, now the head football coach at the University of Colorado, played for the Cowboys from 1995 to 1999, winning two Super Bowls.
