Will Smith has to fill his son’s Jaden shoes, literally.
Arriving for his first day filming “Supermax” in Sydney, Australia, Will was wearing Jaden’s pair of Christian Louboutin sneakers with the designer’s signature red soles, People magazine reported.

If the Shoe Fits
In an Instagram video, Will drew attention to the shoes before filming the upcoming thriller.
“I’m also rocking a gift from my son,” he said, according to People.
The camera then showed his gray sneakers.
“Bam! The brand new red bottoms,” Will said.
The shoes appear to be Christian Louboutin’s Bsktball 1 Retro sneakers in Phantom Gray, a basketball-inspired luxury sneaker that retails for $1,090, according to People.
The model draws from the look of 1990s basketball footwear while incorporating the materials and detailing associated with the French luxury brand.
Christian Louboutin describes the sneaker as combining crosta suede, smooth calf leather, and canvas nylon, according to a Saks Fifth Avenue.
Its gray upper has been lightly hand-brushed to create a distressed appearance, with NeoCL branding, Louboutin monogramming on the sole, a padded insole and two sets of laces. Its bright red outsole provides the most recognizable Louboutin detail.
“Day one with the new red bottoms, look at that!” Will said in the video, according to People. “Thank you, Jaden, thank you, Jaden — got me right for day one.”
Jaden, 27, seems to be establishing himself in a new role at the fashion house.
As Finurah previously reported, Jaden has $8 million net worth and his made a pivot from acting to music to now fashion.
He became Christian Louboutin’s inaugural men’s creative director in September 2025, overseeing four collections a year across men’s shoes, leather goods and accessories, People reported.
Jaden offered a look at that vision in an interview with Hypebeast surrounding the launch of his inaugural FW26 men’s collection in New York. The presentation at Louboutin’s Chelsea boutique included a red Airstream serving iced matchas and a surreal window display of ancient ruins emerging from red sand.
“It makes you wonder what that civilization was built on,” Jaden said, according to Hypebeast. “It creates a room in your mind that you haven’t explored before, which you can revisit whenever you want to wonder, What happened? What is that story?”
The historical imagery is part of creating a larger world around the Louboutin brand is what Jaden is trying to put into perspective.
“It’s about meeting in the middle and creating things that work for the future while also appealing to the current consumer,” Jaden said.
Jaden added he considers everyone from a grandfather to a father and their sons when developing the collection.
“We look at multiple generations of men — starting from the patriarch or grandfather, to the father, to the eldest son, and down to the youngest son — creating everything from that perspective, whether it be the designs or the campaigns,” he said.
The approach is particularly fitting given that Will is now wearing Louboutin footwear gifted by his son.
Campaign imagery for the collection also features Jaden alongside Will, Jada Pinkett Smith and his younger sister, according to Hypebeast.
Jaden’s collection includes more experimental designs, including the Dots loafer, with perforations that can change its appearance depending on the socks worn with it, and the molten-looking Trappmans.
“The idea stems from wanting the shoe to be able to change and evolve, so you don’t have to keep buying new pairs,” he said.
Jaden also sees Louboutin’s trademark red as something more than a recognizable brand color.
“Red is definitely a character in the stories we tell,” he said.
