The former home of entertainers Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown has hit the for-sale market. The property, located in the Atlanta suburb of Alpharetta, is listed for $1.9 million.
Houston purchased the residence in 2003 for $1.38 million, and it featured heavily in the Bravo-produced reality show “Being Bobby Brown.” Five years later, Houston sold the home for $1.349 million just before finalizing her divorce from Brown.
Houston passed away in February 2012. In a career that spanned 30 years, Houston sold more than 200 million albums. She also won six Grammy Awards, two Emmy Awards, 22 American Music Awards and 30 Billboard Music Awards. According to Celebrity Net Worth, at the height of Houston’s career, she earned $30 million annually just from touring. Despite personal and financial setbacks in the years leading to Houston’s death, her estate has been able to bounce back with several lucrative deals.
R&B singer Brown was married to Houston for 14 years. Brown launched his career with the Boston-based group New Edition before going solo in 1986. Hits such as “Don’t Be Cruel” and “Tenderoni” made Brown a top R&B entertainer. His current net worth is $2 million.
